About Miz

Hi! My name is Mia, and I am the founder&owner of MIZHats!

After leaving my job mid-pandemic in late 2020, I brushed the cobwebs off my Grandma Jojo’s sewing machine to fix up some clothing, and with inspo from my lil sister Remi, a bucket hat was created from a vintage towel at home.

Now, not only have I created a brand, I have started a movement to inspire others to use recyclable materials and upcycle. All the materials used including towels, linings, threads, and postage are all found at op shops, garage sales, donations from friends and other businesses that promote the use of recyclable materials.

Miz is my nickname given to me by my closest friends and family and I thought it was a short and quirky word for a business name.
